About the Therapist

Welcome! My name is Amelia Eister, but you can call me Mae. I am a trauma-informed licensed massage therapist. Empathic Touch Therapies is my private practice, labor of love, and livelihood.

I apply my years of training and ongoing study in multiple modalities of therapeutic massage including Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Myofascial Release (MFR), Connective Tissue Therapy (CTT), Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy (DTT), Prenatal and Postnatal Therapy, Injury Rehab, Craniosacral Therapy (CST), Somatic Experiencing, hot and cold tools, stretching, breathwork, and range of motion techniques to what each individual needs for a customized experience and ongoing treatment plan.

The core of my work is in helping to regulate the nervous system, relax the mind, and help the body release tension and pain from trauma of all kinds that have been stored deep in the tissue. As a Reiki master, I also incorporate energy healing into therapeutic massage sessions or separately upon request.

I work closely with my clients in identifying the root causes of stress and pain in the body, keep detailed clinical notes and records on ongoing treatment so that we are always evolving, and provide individualized comfort and guidance in becoming more connected to the body and the self.

By cultivating and nurturing a safe space for all, I allow room for the body to discover its own natural balance, heal from dysfunction, and feel present and alive. With empathy and care, I am here to support you in your healing journey.
